Past – J&J

Beginning his career as a Pharmaceutical Rep for McNeil CPI a J&J company and as a Key Accounts Manager for J&J Consumer products company, Volker demonstrated his ability to develop new business and revenue by building new relationships with referring physicians for brands Tylenol, Imodium, Mylanta, Pediacare, Children’s Tylenol, Reach, Lactaid, Act Fluoridie Rise, Stimudent, and Acuvue contact lens.

Past – Merck and Vistakon Europe

Mr. Gallichio accepted an expat assignment in Germany as Brand Manager to lead the marketing effort of a joint venture between J&J and Merck where he developed the marketing strategy for successful Rx to OTC transition of Imodium AD, capturing 60% of the market within 12-months.  The success of the JV resulted in a promotion to International Brand Manager for Vistakon, a J&J company located in Hamburg, Germany, maker of Acuvue Contact lenses. Volker devised and implemented the marketing strategy for the launch of One-Day Acuvue contact lenses.

Retained European Nutraceutical client

Mr. Gallichio accepted a full consulting engagement for cross a border manufacturer and distributor of injectable, herbal and homeopathic products that included a doctor-preferred formulation that supports neurological health, where he gained the only Option- level A designation in the American Academy of Neurology¹s Preventive Guidelines.  Volker’s innovative approach to the market drove the success as he single-handedly generated $70 MM in sales with mono ingredient through physician referrals ( currently 33% of US mainstream neurologists refer or sample the product), direct to patient sales and natural product retail, independent pharmacies and eCommerce distribution.

Retained Medical Device & Nutraceutical client

Volker’s most recent engagement demonstrated his business administration skills to complete the successful $7M acquisition of this company specializing in ophthalmic products- medical devices, nutraceuticals, vitamins, and supplements. Mr. Gallichio created a private-label revenue stream, led the turn-around team in Sales and Marketing and achieved 300% growth in private-label sales and 25% growth in branded sales.

Volker holds an MBA from Master of Business Administration – USF, Tampa, FL, BA, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, NJ and has attended professional training offered by Johnson and Johnson including Quality Assurance and Advertising programs.  Volker speaks fluent German., currently resides in the Orlando, FL and is a recognized international Triathlete.
